A brief  chronological story behind the establishment of  Feed Quality Assay Centre (FQAC) is started with the establishment of  an animal feed laboratory at Breeding and Forage Centre in Cisarua during the period of 1979-1983. After that, it’s moved to Tambun - Bekasi for 1983-1998.

In 1994 undersigned of Ministry of Agriculture No.465/Kpts/OT.210/6/1994 it’s became Unit of Feed Quality Assay with status Loka (Echelon IV).

In 1998 It moved to Burangkeng-Setu, Bekasi and finally  since 2001 Officially state  by the decree of Ministry of Agriculture, No. 458/Kpts/OT.210/8/2001 and  it’s derivatives No. 65/Kpts/OT.210/8/2006, the institution was promoted from loka to Balai (Echelon IIIA) which has direct responsible to Directorate Non Ruminant Livestock.
